Remeaise was educated in an all girls school, Sarah Siddons Comprehensive School nestled in the heart of Paddington London. She went on to study at London College of Fashion for two years. At the age of 19, she was awarded a job as a Sample Machinist, with Cortaulds Apparel Design Studio, within the area of Paddington, Making sample clothing for Marks and Spencers and British Home stores. She became a freelancer in the late 80’s designing and making clothing for individual clients, working solo in this field from her mums home. She has always had an ambition to become a fashion designer and a teacher this was her wish from the age of three.

Career Change

Remeaise followed her second wish by going back to college to study Childcare and gained a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing. She had changed careers and became a Nursery Nurse and spent seven and a half years in this line of work.

She had her first child at the age of 40 and her second at 42. A bit later on in her life but against all odds and refusing to have tests that could have caused a miscarriage. They were both healthy children. Remeaise became a Teaching assistant once the children were in full-time education.

Semi Retirement

On semi retiring to look after her uncle, she joined an evening class to do her English GCSE. She found out she had a love for creative writing. This is what has led her to begin writing an autobiography which is still being written currently at 18,000 words and counting. Black British Poet was born and takes you through snippets of her life experiences written in verse .

She continues living her best life trying her hand at a bit of acting and project managing and carrying out Art Workshops in her local community.
